Instead, Lee and Simon have a conversation that is specific to the day: Gary Linneker and how the situation serves as a massive distraction from the real news. But before they get to that they discuss travelling to Italy (eventually), Jefrey and Lee saving a pigeon, nearly putting a cat out of its misery, and the best conditions for responding to emails. Don't know who Gary Linneker is? Look him up! (but Simon used to live very close to him and they'd greet each other ALL. THE. TIME.).
